Heidi discovered yoga in 2013 after a difficult health diagnosis of Dysautonomia (which is dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system). She found that yoga was a way to retrain and regulate the nervous system while strengthening the body and used yoga to regain her health. She liked the outlet yoga gave her along with the physicality and athleticism of the practice.
Her Vinyasa style classes focus on body awareness, emotional health and physical well being. Heidi enjoys teaching Vinyasa because of the creativity involved with making flows and finding new ways to move. Her fast placed classes are challenging but approachable. She believes yoga should be a safe, non-judgemental place for people to connect back to themselves and their bodies. Heidi is a 200 hr registered yoga instructor. She is also a 2019 graduate of Vulcan yoga and trained with Shannon Hancock and Natalie Peach.
