Vivian believes in the transformative power of movement. After years of practice as a student, she attended and completed Melissa Scott’s 200 hour Core Strength Vinyasa teacher training in 2016. In class, she holds space for students to move intuitively, explore, and develop their unique practice.
After many years of dance training, Vivian came to yoga searching for new ways to move. On the mat, she found a surprising and cathartic practice. She enjoys the challenge of her practice but finds real joy in the seemingly small nuances that can completely transform a pose. Vivian recognizes that coming to a yoga studio can be scary! She loves to see newcomers and encourages students to “be where they are” in their practice.
Expect a strong practice with plenty of softening, thoughtful transitions and an emphasis on developing attention to your personal instincts. When Vivian is not on the mat, she can be found teaching barre classes, hanging out with her cat Van, or grabbing a pastry and iced coffee.
